Useful football information starts with clear limits. We publish source-confirmed records, show when we last checked them, and keep gaps visible.

Current coverage

Updates and results

The local updater checks every four hours while it is running. Hosted automatic updates are not activated. A snapshot older than eight hours, an update failure or missing competition data triggers a warning. Failed validation preserves the previous valid competition records.

There is no live-score feed. OpenLigaDB results require a finished flag and a valid final score. OpenFootball results require a valid final-score field; half-time scores alone never count. OpenFootball is community-maintained and its upstream updates may lag; a successful fetch confirms retrieval, not recent editorial maintenance. Past kickoffs without a confirmed result remain “Awaiting confirmation”. Schedules may contain provisional dates. Community data can be incomplete or incorrect.

Kickoff precision

OpenLigaDB supplies UTC kickoffs, displayed in Pakistan time. The imported OpenFootball files supply dates and sometimes clock times but no timezone declaration. We preserve their source-local dates and show “Time TBC”; calendar export is disabled for these records. We do not guess UTC offsets.

Standings

Tables are calculated from available confirmed league results. Sorting uses points, goal difference and goals scored, then alphabetically. Points deductions and further official tie-break rules are not included. Treat the table as a calculated summary, not an official table.

Open data and attribution

The adapted football database is made available under the Open Database License 1.0, combining OpenLigaDB (ODbL 1.0) and OpenFootball (CC0 1.0). Download the complete adapted database. See the provider’s terms and licence. Club crests are locally stored images with individually checked source records. Original jersey illustrations appear where a reusable crest is not verified. League logos and wordmarks have individual source credits. Decorative stadium artwork is AI-generated, not a photograph of a real venue or match. View image credits and availability.

News and topic discovery

The GDELT Project supplies public headline links in Latest discoveries and candidates for the private editorial queue. The local worker checks news every 30 minutes, backing off for at least one hour when rate-limited. Only links discovered within 48 hours appear in Latest. Discovery time is not publication time. No automated discovery is presented as an independently verified report. Candidates are not confirmed news. Topic counts describe mentions in the retrieved sample, not global popularity or search trends. We do not fetch or republish publisher articles. Separately licensed editorial file images are credited on the image credits page. Public briefs require an original title, original summary, source link and human approval.

Wikinews closed on 4 May 2026 and is read-only. We retain a separate public archive reading list of source-published football reports, with original publication dates. Headlines are credited to Wikinews under CC BY 4.0; article bodies and photographs are not imported. These links are not MatchPulse-approved briefs. Reports older than seven days are explicitly marked as archive reading. A copy of each candidate also enters the private queue for optional original coverage.

Search trends and daily hosting

Google Trends RSS feeds from Pakistan and the UK supply football-related queries and source links. These are search-interest signals, not confirmed stories or complete football rankings. The local worker checks them daily. The prepared Vercel daily job requires persistent Supabase storage and one approved deployment before it is active; later data updates need no rebuild.

Outside our coverage

Champions League, unlisted leagues, player statistics, betting odds and live commentary are not currently available. We do not fill these gaps with demonstration records or another season.
